I see one of my favorite writers has been floating about cyberspace lately. First, Stefan Beck, writing for The New Criterion, reviews the collected works of John Cheever and Blake Bailey’s new biography, Cheever: A Life.
There is also a great treat for Cheever fans (and John Updike fans) over on Dick Cavett’s New York Times blog. Mr. Cavett has kindly excavated an old episode from his long-running talk show in which Cheever and Updike make an appearance. Check it out.
