Incidentally, since my homage to Milton Friedman morphed into a tepid defense of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, it's worth noting that the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation (CCMR), a body convened in September to study how (or if) the Act should be reformed, will release its interim report on November 30. Stay tuned.
